Course Curriculum

Video 1

  • Presentation on overall taxidermy steps
  • Review of skin preparation (Done in previous video series available on our site!)
  • Using a body tracing to wrap the body & limbs
  • Assembly of basic body and limb forms

Video 2

  • Head creation! Deathmask to head-form
  • Head attachment and test fit
  • Posing
  • Add to body form 
  • Create tail 
  • Creating earliners and gluing in
  • Review of all refined parts

Video 3

  • Mounting: Clay feet, skin on, paste & sew
  • Pose and put on base
  • Face work
  • Discussion of finishing work
