Class will be held 6PM - 9PM.
Space is limited!

Just in time for Halloween, come step inside Prey Taxidermy and learn the secrets of this 'dead art'... if you dare. Ever wonder how taxidermy is done? Thinking about taking a bird or mammal class but not sure what's involved? Need a fun date idea for the eccentric in your life?

It's time to trick or treat, yo' self.

This class will be held inside the Prey Taxidermy studio and will feature:

  • A hands-on lecture by Allis Markham and Tim Bovard (taxidermist at The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles) on the process of mammal & bird taxidermy.
  • Serval skinning demonstration (Not for the faint of heart.)
  • Preview of Allis' work-in-progress
  • Educational display of 'living impaired' animals
  • Q&A - All your darkest questions answered
  • Refreshments! Spooky-season sodas & sweets.
  • A raffle of an Allis Markham bird!

This is a demonstration course, but students may handle some specimens should they choose. Students will not be using scalpels or tools.

Attendees are welcome to take photos, short videos, and notes.  *Please be aware of our cancellation policy
