Dead Pets Society- Intermediate Birds
This class will be held the weekend of Saturday March 11th & Sunday the 12th from 11AM - 4PM each day.
This class is recommended for our bird enthusiasts who have taken Birds 101 and are looking to hone their skills with something new. This class is formatted similarly to our Birds 101 class, taking students through and reinforcing all the steps we covered in Birds 101, from museum-level skinning to fleshing to mounting and grooming.
Students can choose from any cage bird below - Cockatiel, Budgie or Canary. Various colors can be chosen in class. Students are welcomed to work with us on more advanced posing and will learn to make their own bodies-- skills for bird taxidermy that is not covered in Birds 101.
All supplies, tools & specimens will be provided and are included in the class fee. We will be working on a variety of cage bird specimens that were collected from natural pet store deaths.
Class will be taught by Allis Markham, Madison Ruben, and Jennifer Hall at Prey studio in downtown Los Angeles in the Spring Arts Building.
